Waiting lists - information for parents
Where a parent/carer has already applied for a school place this academic year, and has been refused a place, the child will go on to the school’s waiting list automatically and will remain on the waiting list until the end of the summer term. Parents do not need to reapply unless they wish to change their preferences. Parents can check their child’s position on the waiting list when they log into the portal.

Apply for a primary school place

Your child is eligible to:

Start primary school in September 2026.: E.G. born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 inclusive.
Transfer from infant to junior school for the 2026-27 academic year.: E.G. born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019 inclusive.

Your child is eligible if:

Your child is at school and you want to move them to a different school during the year.
Your child is new to North Northamptonshire and does not have a school place.
You have moved house and want to move to a different school.
